Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July to all my USA readers! I have a fun little red white and blue card for you all today!

The blue sparkle paper is from DCWV the dog and the wagon is a free digital stamp from operation write home. It's called waiting for you. The shape is cut out from my nestablities labels 8 and the red shape is cut from elegant edges on my cricut. The stamp is from another of my unmarked stamp sets... It's stamped with versamark white ink.

Fake Cake

Some of you know that I'm a theater kid. I'm can be an actress, a singer, a stage manager, a crew person, a light board op, hang lights, build sets and make costumes. Basically I do a little of everything (something better then others... much better in some cases...) but my 3 favorite things to do are preform, work backstage on a show and be a props mistress. Every summer I have the amazing opportunity to be a props mistress for a community theater's Summer musical.  Even though my job isn't always easy I always have fun and get to make some great friends on both the production team and in the cast. This will be my 4th season with this theater and my 6th show... One of the parts of my job is to every once in a while make up a prop that I can't find anywhere else. Once again some of these are harder then others but the end result is always worth it especially when you hand a personalized prop to an actor that always makes them excited! So here is the first of the only 2 props I needed to make for the show I'm working on now.
IT'S A FAKE CAKE!!!! Looks real doesn't it! It's Styrofoam (don't eat that) but it's got real fondant on it and royal icing (that stuff you use to make gingerbread houses it doesn't taste good.) It's very hard now by the time I took it to rehearsal last night it had been sitting out for 24 hours  Doesn't mean the actors can be mean to the cake they still have to be gentle but it will hopefully hold up for our 4 week run!

Red White and Blue

This card was really easy to put together. The stamp is from La La Land I colored her hair, skin, and shirt with copics and her pants I colored with tombow markers and the grey on her shoes is a silver glitter gel pen. I cut her out using scalloped circles nesties and my cuttlebug. About half way through putting on all the glitter I realized I could make my own red white and blue glitter so I made it and used it for the rest of the card. The little blue bling is from Want 2 Scrap.

Flashback Card

I made this card last December but thought I'd share it now anyway. It's been 90 degrees or higher here all week and it doesn't look to be letting up anytime soon so looking back towards December and the cool temperatures is kind of nice.
The card base is pre bought the circle I cut with a CM circle cutter and I'm sure it 's DCWV paper from some Christmas stack. The tag is cut on the cricut with the seasonal Christmas tags cartridge. The stamp is a digital freebie from digital doodling called Christmas Belle. And I'm not sure where the sentiment is from.
